What is MAPANAK8?

MAPANAK8 is the 8th Anniversary Show of Ampalaya Monologues, featuring a blend of Spoken Word, Monologues, and Music.

When and where is the event taking place?

The event is scheduled for March 2, 2024, at Studio Justin Bella Alonte, UPRC III Chino Roces, Makati. There are two sets: Set A at 3:00 PM and Set B at 7:00 PM.

What is the ticket pricing?

Early Bird tickets cost P499, while Walk-ins are priced at P650.

Is reserved seating available?

Seating is allocated on a first-come, first served basis. 

How do I get my ticket?

1. Go here to pay for your tickets via paymongo’s secured checkout page.

2. Keep a copy of your e-receipt.

3. On the day of the event, provide your email at the ticket booth to claim your physical tickets.

Can I resell my ticket?

Resale of this ticket is prohibited, and any ticket holder suspected of reselling their ticket may be denied entry to the event.

Can I exchange my ticket?

Tickets cannot be exchanged for a different event or time.

What should I do if I lose my ticket?

Any lost or misplaced ticket may not be replaced, and the holder will be denied entry to the event. Ticket holders must present their ticket and ID upon request for verification. The organizer and venue are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Can I attend both Set A and Set B with the same ticket?

  Each ticket is valid for either Set A or Set B. If you wish to attend both sets, you will need to purchase separate tickets for each.

 Is this a reserved seating event or a general admission?

 This is a general admission event, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Open Mic:

 How can I participate in the open mic portion?

The open mic registration is on the day of the event and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration an hour before the start of the event. The number of open mic performers will depend on time availability and participation is not guaranteed.

 How many people will be able to participate in the open mic?

  The number of participants in the open mic will depend on the time available and the schedule for the event. 

 How long is each open mic performance?

  Each open mic performance is limited to 3 minutes, inclusive of any introductory spiels.

 Can I perform with a group during the open mic?

  Yes, you can perform with a group during the open mic, but the performance will still be limited to a 3minute performance. Please make sure that each member of the group has registered and been confirmed for the open mic.

 Can I use accompanying music during my open mic performance?

  No, open mic performances are not allowed to use accompanying music. This policy is in place to maximize the number of participants and save time during the event. Performances should be limited to 3 minutes of spoken word, poetry, or similar performance styles without musical accompaniment.

 Do I need a ticket to participate in the open mic night?

  Yes, a ticket is required to attend the event and participate in the open mic night.

 How many performances can each artist have in the open mic portion of the event?

  Each artist is limited to one performance in the open mic portion of the event. However, you are encouraged to make the most of your 3 minutes on stage and to perform as much as you can fit into that time.


Will my performance be recorded or streamed during the open mic night?

The event organizers reserve the right to film, photograph, or record the performance and the audience, and to use such footage for promotional and archival purposes.

Can I post videos or pictures of my performance on social media?

Performers and audience members are welcome to post stories or pictures of their experience at the open mic night on social media, but they should be aware that they are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from other attendees before posting any footage that includes them. Performers should also be aware that they may be subject to copyright laws if they post footage of their performance.
